Anne TUPLING

Anne TUPLING combine une carrière de violoniste indépendante et de directrice du quartet à cordes "Sounds Interesting".

 

Elle mène, en sa qualité de première violoniste, plusieurs orchestres en Royaume Uni, et se produit régulièrement avec "Les Rossignols du Bocage".

 

Anne et sa famille habitent à Hauteville la Guichard.

 

Anne Tupling combines a career as freelance violinist and teacher with running “Sounds Interesting.” She gained BA in Music and Psychology at Nottingham University whilst studying violin with Huw Maguire of the Allegri Quartet, then MA Mus in London. Anne has been fortunate in learning the violin with Howard Davies, Michael Bochmann and Roger Coull and in recent years, with Zbynek Padourek of the Martinu Quartet.


For fifteen years Anne worked in secondary schools in Leicestershire as Head of Arts Faculty. Changing career, she gained diplomas in Autism and Special Educational Needs and was appointed Vice Principal of Ellesmere College in Leicester, then Head of Shropshire Special Needs Outreach Service.


Before moving to Shropshire in 2000 Anne was leader of Leicester Symphony and Festival Orchestras. “Sounds Interesting”, began in 1982, employs local professional musicians for chamber concerts, celebrations and corporate events. Anne plays with Philomusica of Aberystwyth, Liverpool Sinfonia, Nottingham Bach Society and The National Festival Orchestra. She is leader of Shrewsbury Sinfonia and local choral societies. Anne is fortunate to play an Italian violin by Pietro Messori. She and her husband and two labradors divide their time between Shropshire and Normandy.
